Gaviscon Orange Burst Flavoured Extra Strength Acid Shielding Foam Barrier Chewable Foamtabs comes in a 60 tablet format. It helps block acid reflux by building a protective shield, relieving heartburn day and night. Heartburn/reflux symptoms should be relieved within 5 to 10 minutes of taking this product. DOSAGE: Adults and children 12 years and older: Chew 2-4 tablets, up to a maximum of 12 tablets per day. Children 6-11: Chew 1-2 tablets, up to a maximum of 6 tablets per day. Doses should be separated by at least two hours. Take after meals and/or at bedtime when symptoms occur or as directed by a physician. Do not swallow without chewing. WARNING: Keep out of reach of children. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist, exceed two weeks, recur, worsen, or occur more than once a week in a child, or if heartburn/reflux is accompanied by painful swallowing, weight loss, vomiting of blood or recurrent vomiting. Do not take within two hours of another medication as it may interfere with its effectiveness, or if you have kidney disease, except on the advice of a doctor. If you are pregnant or on a low sodium diet, do not take more than 3 tablets per day unless directed by a physician. Store out of the reach of children.
